Chase is One Year Old!!

Wow, where did that time go?! Chase is already starting to act like a big boy. His laugh has changed, he wants to start doing things for himself, he is past walking and is now running and climbing over everything. But no matter how big or small he is Chase still has that sweet spirit that he has always had and he will always be my Chasie!

These are his stats from his one year check up;

Weight: 21 lb 12 oz (35th percentile)

Height: 31 inches (84th percentile)

Head Circumference 48.5 cm (95th percentile)

He got four shots, which are always sad but the Doctor said he looks great and is growing well!

Here are 12 things I want to remember about Chase at this stage;

1. His roar, he has this great deep roar that he does when ever he is playing with dinosaurs or lions or tigers. It's so cute! I have been meaning to get a video but haven't. It makes me laugh every time.

2. The way he goes from a deep sleep to being wide awake. There is no in between for him. The second his eyes open he starts talking and babbling and pointing.

3. The way he raises his eyebrows when he is saying something very serious. I obviously can't understand what he is saying yet but I can definitely tell when it is something "important"

4. He loves strawberries. This is a relatively new food for him and he LOVES them. When takes the first bite he smiles and says, mmmmm.

5. His smile. He has the best smile and those big cheeks of his kill me.

6. He is obsessed with wires. Especially our phone charges which he loves to chew on.

7. His open mouth kisses, my favorite!

8. He still sucks his index and middle finger when he is tired or to sooth himself if he is sad or hurt.

9. How much he and Jalen love each other. Chase tries to copy everything his big brother does. He follows Jalen every where and loves wrestling with him. They also fight a lot mostly over the same toys but when one cries the other comes over and gives a kiss or a hug. So sweet!

10. The way he picks up my phone puts it to his ear and says, "Hi Dad". He always calls dad :)

11. The way he starts dancing when ever music is played. He bends his knees and bounces up and down.

12. How he completes our family and how very much we ALL love him.
