Vernal Pools "Hike"

This week is my spring break and I am loving being home and spending some quality time with my boys. On Monday we went for a hike at a great local spot. It was just a short drive away and we had such a great time. The weather was perfect and the boys were in heaven exploring. The total walk was only about two miles but you would have thought it was 20 since it took us almost an hour and a half. The boys wanted to stop every ten feet (not even exaggerating a little bit) to smell the flowers, look at all the caterpillars, walk into the tall grass, step on rocks, dig in holes, climb on fences, and take little breaks. It was great to see them enjoying themselves so much. We will definitely go back soon!

Excited about our hike!

The boys stopped to look at EVERYTHING, even holes in the ground.

I love these guys so much!!!

It was so beautiful!!! I love that Jalen really appreciated it and had such a great time.

There were so many caterpillars out. Daddy picked one up so Jalen and Chase could get a closer look.

Taking time to smell the flowers

Our friends Seth and Mitch joined us, this is Jalen and Mitch trying to figure out how to climb this tree.

How brave of you to take the boys hiking! We tried taking our boys on a short hike last summer and it definitely is challenging with little ones. But it looks like you had fun.
We miss you!
